“Healing Through Music” First Friday Event,supports survivors of abuse.

 

The “Healing though Music”  First Friday event is a collaboration between many of Randolph Counties youth and family support non-profits. The event tries to bring hope and healing to survivors of sexual assault and child abuse. The event starts at the United Methodist Church on Kerns Ave. at 4:30 where community members, survivors, city and county workers march from the church parking lot to the Town Square behind the Welcome Center Depot on Railroad Ave. The march ends with speeches of support and live music from local musicians. Please wear blue to support everyone who has experienced abuse.

 

 

Downtown Clean Sweep Helps get Businesses Looking Good

Please join Elkins Main Street in the annual event of getting downtown looking great. We are hoping to get around 30 volunteers to come to the corner of Davis and 3rd ( in Front of Davis Trust)  to start sweeping  sidewalks and begin trash collection at 10 am the morning of Saturday the 22nd. We will have a window decorating contest for all the downtown business and the winner will receive a  certificate of appreciation and a photo posted on our Facebook feed. We want to encourage anyone who can to come out and help make downtown ready for spring.

Join us as we enjoy samples of  local wine, meed, honey, and heavy horsdoeuvres. Spend time enjoying socializing and browsing the local shops.
