The role of the Promotion Committee is to promote and market downtown Elkins to customers, potential investors, new and existing businesses, local citizens, and visitors. The committee plans, organizes, and promotes special events and festivals as well as partners with other organizations involved in promoting downtown Elkins.

Coordinates groups to participate, attend, or partner for promotional activities.
Creates fresh, innovative, and effective downtown promotions.
Identifying downtown assets, including people, buildings, heritage, and distinction.
Builds on the “brand” of downtown by using the defined assets as a base of promoting Elkins.
