Madalyn Higgins is a native and resident of Elkins with her husband, Clint Higgins. Higgins received her Bachelor of Arts in Child & Family Studies in 2017, from Davis and Elkins College. Higgins was hired as the Executive Director of Elkins Main Street in July of 2018. She currently serves on the board of directors of Woodlands Development Group and the D&E Alumni Association. As a member of staff of Elkins Main Street, she maintains a continual presence in the development of the local community through coordinating events, collaborating with non-profits, and involvement in local government. She maintains the growth of the community through establishing relationships with local businesses and supporting the growth of the area’s economy.

She is an alum of the Old Brick Playhouse Apprenticeship Program and has been active in local and regional arts programs as a volunteer, mentor, and choreographer working with young artists to grow as actors, dancers, and young adults. Growing up in Elkins has given her the opportunity to see this town change and develop through generations of leaders and artists. Like many young dreamers, she left Elkins looking for new experiences yet was quickly drawn back to her hometown. This town, this place, and these people have all impacted her drive to see the best in what we all have to offer.
